In the Philippines, the consumption of dog meat has been present for centuries being both culturally and socially accepted throughout the country. Igorot tribes perform it as part of their Daw’ es ritual, and dog meat has been used by many as a dish/pulutan. In the years leading up to the current century, the commercialization of dog meat has become widespread, creating issues in both public health and animal rights. TAHOL is a series of animated shorts to open people’s eyes to this ongoing issue in the Philippines and call them to advocate against it.
